La Cumbre Brewing Co of Albuquerque, New Mexico is looking for a Professional Non-CDL Delivery Driver for our retail routes throughout Albuquerque and Santa Fe. The primary responsibility for this position is to ensure the successful and timely delivery of our products. This person will also be responsible for pulling stock and loading the truck for deliveries, and the general upkeep of the warehouse.

Ideal candidates will possess the following:

– A clean and valid driver’s license
– High School diploma or GED
– Thorough knowledge of Albuquerque and Santa Fe roadways
– Previous experience delivering merchandise is a plus
– A working cell phone with GPS capabilities

Job Description:
Maintain and execute all functions according to LCBC policy and procedure, safety requirements, and best practice. Tasks include but are not limited to all aspects of raw materials handling, milling of grain, wort production, fermentation monitoring, yeast handling and pitching, clarification, transfers, finished beer monitoring, equipment CIP and general sanitation.

Job Responsibilities:

• Execute the necessary production duties including but not limited to wort production,fermentation management, filtration and finishing, and bright beer handling.
• Ensure that all beer is produced to LCBC standards and specification by following recipes and procedures as set.
• Maintain brewing, cellaring, clarification and other related documentation in an organized, complete and accurate manner.
• Attend brewery staff meetings as required.
• Clean and sanitize all equipment and work areas to maintain consistent beer quality.
• Maintain healthy communication with other departments (QA/QC, Packaging, Tasting Room, and Restaurant).
• Possess or desire to possess a of brewing and beer styles beer knowledge. As well as a desire to learn more
• Willingness to participate in festivals and promotional events as needed while representing the company and the brand in a professional manner.
• Perform all job functions within the structure described in the Employee handbook of policies and procedures at LCBC
• Ability to adapt to new procedures and methods as the brewery evolves and grows

Job Requirements:

• Work or have worked as a brewer (formal brewing education preferred)
• Ability to work and communicate well with all staff.
• Organized and detail oriented; accurate record keeping skills.
• Basic troubleshooting skills in a brewing/manufacturing setting.
• Read, write and calculate basic algebra.

Physical Requirements:

• Lift 55 lbs. from ground to shoulder high.
• Lift 110 lbs. from ground to waist high and moving 150 lbs. along the floor.
• Climb stairs, ramps, and ladders.
• Work in small and confined spaces.
• Work safely with chemicals with reasonable safety accommodations.
• Work in loud environment with basic safety accommodations.
• Not afraid to get wet.

• Work the packaging line
• Wash and fill kegs according to schedule
• Take daily inventory
• CIP of tanks, hoses and fittings
• Preparing hops for beers and dry hop and/or next day’s brew upon brewers approval
• Cleaning all areas in and outside of the brewery
• Follow SOPs
• General facility and equipment maintenance
• Coordinate with head brewer in regards to prioritizing schedule
• Operate forklift safely


• CIP of tanks, hoses and fittings
• Monitor pressures and purging of tanks
• Calculate finings for beers being transferred if needed
• Monitor carbonation levels in ready to package beer
• Assist in all forms of packaging as well as shipping and receiving
• Cleaning all areas of the brewery and outside the brewery
• Follow SOPs and give feedback
• General facility and equipment maintenance
• Coordinate with production, packaging and distribution for prioritization and beer management
• Inventory, rotation and organization of beer and ingredients as they arrive and/or produced
• Beer transfer (filtration)
• Operate forklift safely

Mandatory Qualifications (do not apply without any of these)

-Love of craft beer
-Self-motivated, well organized, self-starter with the desire to excel in instances of limited direction
-Excellent interpersonal communications, problem solving and conflict resolution skills
-Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks knowing order of importance and difficulty
-Dedicated sense of urgency and drive to achieve tasks
-Mechanical intuition
-Ability to lift 50 lbs shoulder high, and 100 lbs waist high
-Ability to climb ladders and stairs (a lot) as well as be on your feet for an entire shift
-Competence with all forms of safety protocol
-Detail oriented as well as strong record keeping skills
-Strong attention to detail
-Desire to work hard and get things done
-Work both shifts AM and/or PM
-Be prepared schedule changes happen

Preferred (or strong desire to learn about it)

-Food or beverage packaging systems and process experience
-Knowledge of chemical use, storage and safety
-General knowledge of brewing and packaging

-Has two years serving experience
-Have a positive attitude and outgoing personality with excellent communication skills
-Be at least 21 years of age
-Have New Mexico State Alcohol Certification
-Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
-Ability to multi-task and shift priorities with a focus on providing an exceptional guest experience
-Guest service oriented with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
-Strong desire to grow professionally with the company
-Ability to stand and walk for up to 8 hours at a time
-Ability to routinely lift and move up to 60 lbs
-Ability to bend, stoop, push and pull
-Availability to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends and holidays
-Cicerone Certified Beer Server, or will attain certification within six months of employment
