Package Line Operator


 

The package line operator is responsible for packaging beer into cans and kegs for retail and wholesale distribution. Position requires a fundamental knowledge of operating, maintaining, and cleaning packaging equipment.

Compensation & Schedule

Salary: $15/hr

 Position: Full-Time

 Schedule: 10-hour shifts

Job Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor the packaging line safely and efficiently..
  • Wash and fill kegs according to the production schedule..
  • Build out-of-state wholesale orders accurately according to Bills of Lading (BOLs)..
  • Perform daily inventory counts and maintain accurate records..
  • Perform CIP (Clean-in-Place) of tanks, hoses, fittings, and related equipment..
  • Prepare dry hops and perform dry hopping with brewer approval..
  • Clean and maintain all areas inside and outside of the brewery..
  • Follow all established SOPs, safety procedures, and brewery policies..
  • Perform general facility and equipment maintenance..
  • Coordinate with the Head Brewer to prioritize and adjust the production schedule as needed..
  • Operate a forklift safely and responsibly..
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment..
  • Communicate effectively with the brewing, packaging, warehouse, and other brewery teams..
  • Perform other duties as assigned..

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills..
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks based on importance..
  • A strong sense of urgency and a drive to complete tasks efficiently and correctly..
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to troubleshoot equipment..
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. to shoulder height and 100 lbs. to waist height..
  • Ability to frequently climb ladders and stairs and remain on your feet for an entire shift..
  • Ability to follow all safety protocols and procedures..
  • Strong attention to detail and accurate record-keeping skills..
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team..
  • Strong work ethic and a willingness to work hard and get things done..
  • Availability to work both AM and PM shifts as needed..
  • Flexibility to accommodate schedule changes and changing production needs..

Preferred (or strong desire to learn about it)

  • A passion for craft beer and a genuine interest in the brewing industry..
  • Experience with food or beverage packaging systems and processes..
  • Brewery, food, or beverage production experience..
  • Knowledge of chemical use, storage, handling, and safety..
  • General knowledge of brewing and beer packaging processes..
  • Experience operating and maintaining packaging equipment..
  • Forklift operation experience or certification..

Delivery Driver!


Job Type: Full-time

Duties:

  • Operating company vehicles in a professional, safe and courteous manner.
  • Providing great customer service to our wonderful customers.
  • Delivering La Cumbre Brewing Co products to customers in a timely manner.
  • Ensuring accurate delivery and appropriate quantities of products.
  • Merchandising La Cumbre Brewing Co products ensuring they are fully stocked and faced.
  • Performing daily vehicle maintenance checks and reporting potential mechanical issues to management.
  • Maintaining a clean company vehicle and workplace.

The Ideal Candidate will have:

  • The ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
  • Open availability.
  • Great attitude.
  • Great communication skills.
  • The ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • The ability to lift and/or move up to 165 pounds.
  • A New Mexico Alcohol Server’s License.
  • A valid Driver’s License and a clean driving record.

Candidates must demonstrate a high level of accuracy, and ability to work without direct supervision. Must be able to lift up to 70 pounds. The work environment can be loud, the employee is exposed to the outside weather conditions during deliveries and exposed to airborne particles and fumes.
